Cagrilintide
Cagrilintide is a long-acting amylin analog. A C18 fatty acid side chain enables albumin binding and extends plasma half-life in pharmacokinetic models relative to native amylin. It activates amylin receptors AMY1-3, which are formed by the calcitonin receptor complexed with receptor activity-modifying proteins, in hypothalamic and hindbrain neuronal cultures. Current research focuses on its receptor pharmacology within the context of GLP-1R co-agonism, including the CagriSema combination program. Supplied lyophilized for in vitro research use only.
