IGF-1LR3
IGF-1LR3 (Long Arg3 IGF-1) is a recombinant 83-amino acid analog of human IGF-1. An N-terminal 13-residue extension and an Arg3 substitution together disrupt high-affinity binding to IGF-binding proteins, eliminating IGFBP sequestration and delivering 2-3x greater potency than native IGF-1 at the IGF-1 receptor in cell culture. Downstream signaling proceeds through the PI3K/AKT and MAPK/ERK cascades. It is the standard tool for insulin-like growth factor signaling research without IGFBP interference. Supplied lyophilized for in vitro research use only.
