Tesamorelin

Tesamorelin is a synthetic analog of human GHRH (hGHRH 1-44 amide). A trans-3-hexenoic acid group conjugated to the N-terminal tyrosine confers resistance to dipeptidyl peptidase IV cleavage, extending pharmacokinetic half-life relative to native GHRH in biochemical models. It activates the GHRH receptor with full agonist activity, driving Gs-protein/cAMP signaling in pituitary somatotroph cultures. The hexenoyl modification separates GHRH receptor kinetics from the peptide's proteolytic stability profile, making it useful for independent study of each variable. Supplied lyophilized for in vitro research use only.
